The blog.bldng. blog is the outlet for the (dis)associative thoughts, philosophies and ramblings of the otherwise quite singular designer Sebas van den Brink. Owner and sole employee of – you guessed it – bldng.

If you’ve made it so far that means that you’re actually interested - awesome! Let me try not to bore you too much. Basically what this whole blog is about ideas blended with work. Those ideas could be about anything. Design, aesthetics, life, love, who knows? Anything.

As a designer I graduated from the Academie Minerva School of Fine Arts and Design, Groningen. During graduation I won the Academie Minerva Design Communication Award 2009 – but now, looking back, I hardly think I really deserved it. Yes the documentary I made was something special. But Minerva isn’t the toughest in the world nor the country. I happened to have a good six months during graduation, shifting some personal boundaries.

Now though, things are settling down again. It’s time for a big crunch untill I get to realise my next big thing. Which really hasn’t a whole lot to do with design, documentaries or anything like that. The coming years I want to save money and dig around to realise that dream. Because that’s what it is; a dream.

Isn’t life all about dreams, anyway?
